Blue Squad - Cheers on Friday Nights for tackle football

The schedule usually is released post the football player draft - we do NOT know game schedule until the first week in September

Active participation is REQUIRED
Cheerleaders that meet the practice and game attendance requirements will be able to perform during halftime at a Rice University Football on November 2, 2024.

Cheerleaders are expected to come to practice with positive attitudes and actively participate,  it will be up to the coaches discretion if a cheerleader does not meet the requirements to perform at the Rice game.

IMPORTANT.  PLEASE READ--Parent and Cheerleader Commitment

**Parents are REQUIRED to volunteer for their cheerleader to participate**

Volunteer Roles include: coach, camp, tailgate, snack, banners, music, Rice game volunteer roles will be discussed in depth at the REQUIRED parent meeting

Please know participation and attendance expectations are high for your cheerleader to be part of SFL cheer.  If your daughter is involved in other activities that will conflict with SFL cheer practices and game schedule at any time during the season, SFL cheer is not for her.  Cheer is a team sport that requires consistent attendance & participation.  We are working to grow our program to allow the cheerleaders opportunities to improve their skills & be ready to try out for future cheer squads, as in middle school & high school.  Parent support is a requirement for our cheerleaders to succeed, there will be various volunteer jobs for parents during the season.
